Target formula and diapers

Hi! It is nice to see some activity over here! I have been MIA on the nest board I know.

anyways, have any of you tried target brand formula or diapers? Right now I am breastfeeding and supplementing with Similac and it is expensive. We also use pampers swaddleme diapers and they are $$$$ too. Any ideas?

Re: Target formula and diapers

  • We were just talking about you this weekend- wondering how you've been!

I tried Target diapers- I didn't like them. I have a good friend who loves them though. I get my Pampers at Target with a coupon or on sale, or at BJs. I know BJs is a better deal and they do take coupons. I think BJs has formula as well- I'd be happy to check next time I'm there (probably this weekend).

  • I am breastfeeding so I have never used Target's formula...I have personally never used Targets diapers for my DS, but in my classroom parents use them and they seem to work ok.

I have to use pampers swaddlers for DS2 because when I tried other diapers he got a really bad diaper rash. DS1 was the same way, we could only use Huggies on him, otherwise the got a bad diaper rash. I think DS2 is heading down the same path!

    they have sensitive bums:)

  • Can I ask why your supplementing and how old your lil one is?

We use Seventh Generation Diapers. They're cheap, great for my lils senstive booty good for enviroment. I buy 72 count for like 16 at Target.
  • We started off with Similac Advanced at first because we always had those coupons we got in the mail.  When those ran dry we considered switching to the Target formula equivalent and we transitioned with no problem.

We never tried the diapers though, we always used Pampers.  I get them off Amazon using the Prime membership.  Have you checked into Amazon Mom?  You can sign up for free and they give you a trial of Prime membership that gives you free 2-day shipping.  If you look for diapers and do the subscribe and save, you get additional % off.  I think I pay about $0.22/diaper?  Does that sound right?  I'd have to double check, but either way, it was a decent deal and they just appear on my front door.  :)
