Developmental Screening

My school district is offering a few developmental screening sessions for "all children birth through age 5 who are NOT about to enter kindergarten" this fall. They test speech, fine motor skill, and large motor skill. It's free. Would you take your child?

I want to and I probably will, but am having some reservations that I'll get some sort of negative feedback that will have me all upset for no reason. Like with his speech, he doesn't really know any words and he should by 12 months but I know it's not that big of a deal, lots of kids don't at his age, but if they make it a negative thing will I get worried and upset?

They're having one here that I'm probably taking G to, so yes. 

It is always better to catch something early on. Also, I assume they are professionals, who know what speech is normal for a one year old. I doubt they would even express concern at this point for not talking. No babbling or noises at all, maybe.

yea If I had the time I would, I just probably wouldn't go out of my way unless I was worried about something.

Sure! I would keep an open mind also. 

Dont boys typically talk later than girls anyway?

Our school district comes out to the house a few times a year. They just screen for special needs, give you info for things to look for and how to help.
