Thought I would put this question to you all as well since you probably have a lot of experience with swings.
A friend of mine passed along her Snugabunny swing to me. I set it up and it looks brand new. She really took good care of it. The mobile turns, all the music plays, but the swing won't swing. All the lights come on as you click through the phases but there is no swinging going on. I thought maybe giving it a tiny push to get started would work, but it doen't keep swinging.
Am I doing something wrong or is it just dead? These are really expensive swings and this one is still probably less than a year old. I hate to tell her she gave me a dud swing. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone had luck with Fisher Price repair or replacement?
Re: XP: Snugabunny Swing won't Swing
totally unrelated, but i just PMed you.
but kind of related, i had this happen to me too. a friend gave me a fancy FP swing after she'd used it for less than a year. the motor had burned out, i think. hmm. i didn't do anything about it, though. hmm.

I responded.
This one plugs in but I have not tried it with batteries. I checked the FP website and all the reviews. Looks like older reviews were all negative but newer ones all positive about FP sending out a new motor if you asked.

Around here, they sell on Craig's List for about $75.
A friend had one that was used, it stopped working and fisher price sent her a new motor. They did say that it wasn't still under any warranty, but they'd do it anyway.
If fisher price won't do that, then you should use this link.
