Suture question

Hey ladies for any of you that, for lack of a better phrasing, had a vag tear with their delivery, how long did it take for you to feel like the sutures had desolved? I am currently 2 w pp and had a small tear, but am feeling a lot of pulling down there and can't wait for some relief.

    I had a 2nd degree tear and I would say that around 10 days I felt pretty good down there.

    I had a 3rd degree tear and DD is 18 days old.  I still feel some pulling from time to time, but it's usually related to constipation.  Are you regularly going poop on the potty?  :)

    I had an episiotomy with vacuum extraction and had one external stitch and lots of internal ones... The external one fell out 18 days PP but I ended up with granulated tissue there so that still bothers me a lot. The internal ones were really bothering me for like a week or so between 410ish days PP. I didn't stop taking ibuprofen until like 2 days ago so 19 days PP.

    Ps. Frozen pads rock! Pours some witch hazel or other post partum bath on them and stick them in the freezer then into your undies for immediate relief!

    Thanks for asking this! I am almost a week out and and can not wait for relief. I had an episiotomy.

    My doctor said it would take about a month for all the stitches to fully dissolve/drop out.     I'm just about 3 weeks pp and feeling pretty normal.  Sometimes I have a bit of tenderness but nothing like that first week.  It does get better.   I had a 4th degree tear, an episiotomy, and forceps extraction.

    I had a 3rd degree tear and felt pretty good 3 days after (which is ridiculous I know!)...I think the stitches have dissolved because I'm more than 20 days PP (and I have seen some stitch like things on toilet paper on occasion), but I'm too scared to look in case they are still there!

    I think mine have finally dissolved or fell out. I had a second degree tear and a small tear near my urethra. Yesterday without realizing it, I didn't wiped dry instead of patting and it didn't hurt or anything.

    I think I finally started feeling "normal" down there around 2-3 weeks PP, though.
