DH and DD across the country until Monday

DH and DD are traveling across the country to see DH's extended family. I took them to the airport this morning and they won't be back until Monday evening.

So far, the longest I have been away from DD is 22 hours. I was kind of looking forward to some time to myself, but right now, the house is really quiet and empty feeling.

    I am going away for the weekend without LO and I'm excited about it, but I think I would feel the same as you if I was in our house alone for a weekend.  It would be hard being home alone. You have to embrace the silence and enjoy some mama time though!

    It has to be so hard to be home alone. I got teared up when I read that for some reason.  Try and relax and have some fun friends time when they are gone to keep your mind off of them being away.

    That sounds like a really special trip for DH and DD. I too would feel excited at the prospect of alone time but then in the moment, maybe not so much! I hope you have a great weekend though.....maybe some shopping (or window shopping) at your leisure or a mani/pedi or a chick flick with friends. A warm cup of coffee would even be great!
