Brynn Elise Update

You all asked for updates.. so here goes.

Brynn had surgery yesterday. They started her on her side, performed the coarc surgery first. That went great. The flipped her on her back and opened up to her heart and was able to find the hole in her heart and fix that too. She went in around 11:30am and was out by around 4:30ish. We were able to see here last night. She was still out, with the breathing tube in... and 2 gazillion other attachments; wires attached to her heart in case they needed to pace her, drainage tubes, catheter, medicine, monitors, 3 different spots for IVs, blood from the transfusion, and millions of other things. She should have woken up over night and they were going to take the breathing tube out, and some of the other stuff. The surgeon seemed really positive and said things went really well. We will head over later this morning to visit her again. Thanks again for all the T&Ps!

    I am so glad that you updated us, because I was wondering. I hate that any family has to go through this. I hope and pray that she has a speedy recovery. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. It sounds like you have one amazingly strong little girl!

    TTC since January 2010
    BFP 5/9/10. U/S - no heartbeat 6/2/10 (7 weeks). Induced miscarriage 6/7/10.

    dx: RPL due to poor quality uterine lining; begin progesterone January 2011
