RSV

Does anyone (especially the 2nd time Mommies) have any experience with RSV? DS got really snotty & coughy probably abour 2 months of age... took him to the doctor & they said it was mucus build up use saline in nose suction him & if he starts running fever or have trouble breathing either bring him to doctor or if they are closed take him to hospital...well its now been almost 2 MONTHS!!!!! Still dealing with this (doctor did warn me that it could take WEEKS for it to clear up) & I get a call from my babysitter that her DD woke up from a nap with 103.5 temperature (she's 11 mths old) & they diagnosed her with RSV! Well I called DS doctor & they said that he MAY have RSV & not exhibit a fever (has never run a fever with me) but if he does or seems to have trouble breathing they'll then test him for RSV...granted i'm not too upset that they ain't testing him now cause there is really no meds they can give him..& according from what I've researched at the best they can do is give him IV fluids oxygen & breathing treatments but he's not ill enough to require that.. (Thank Goodness!!) I'm just hoping SOMEBODY has dealt with this before & that there is a light at the end of the tunnel hearing him cough is just about heartbreaking!! Crying

This is what worries me I use to work at a daycare & baby had it & they were hospitalized thankfully he hasn't had any serious issues & hopefully he won't I'm just ready for him to be able to finally kick this thing once & for all... unfortunately its a virus so there isn't a cure! Sad But thank you all for your well wishes!! Smile
