What type of child birth classes is everyone taking and where? Was looking for Lamaze but could only find hypnobirthing? It's 5 sessions at Beaumont and 220. Worth it?

Beaumont also has a general child birth class for $90.00 - Couple (Mom + Dad/Support Person.) I thought the class was informative and helpful. Our instructor was great. Below is the description of class. 

Beaumont's multi-session childbirth class teaches expectant parents how to recognize and cope with the physical and emotional changes that occur with pregnancy, labor, birth and recovery.  Our class incorporates the Lamaze^? technique and includes 12 hours of instruction.

During the class, we will practice breathing and relaxation techniques.  Please bring two pillows and a blanket to each class so you will be comfortable during our practice sessions.

You and your support person should attend the class together and plan to complete your birthing classes four weeks before your delivery date.

The final session of our Childbirth Education Series is held four to eight weeks after your baby is born.  You and your new baby are invited to attend a Beyond Birth class where we will talk about postpartum adjustment, time and priorities as well as parenting myths and realities. Please visit us at Beyond Birth.
