First OB appt...

I have requested a referral to get bloodwork done just to confirm it, but I think that I'm going to wait until next week to get that done...

I went yesterday for my blood work to confirm I have my next visit on Oct. 19th But they said they might call me sooner to do a ultra sound to check on the baby and where it is but I have to wait till at least 5.5 weeks grrr

I went in just for hcg confirmation and to review med history.  Beyond that, my dr does not want to see you until at least 6-7 weeks for the dating ultrasound.  Before that, you cannot detect the heartbeat.

Nope, not for awhile. OBs around here don't typically see women until they're 8 weeks along.

My appointment isn't until October 15th. =(

They wanted to wait until 8-10 weeks.

I'm kinda bummed but it's excited to think they might find a heartbeat by then!  I think it'll go by fast.

I have to wait until 10/23!  It feels like forever!  But my doctor wanted to wait until between 8-10 weeks.  When they told me that on the phone I slightly freaked out- I wanted the dr. appt. to make it all feel real!

Today will be the third day for bloodwork, so as long as my #'s come back good again tomorrow we will schedule for in two-three weeks.

I haven't called my doctor yet. With DS they wouldn't see me until I was 10 weeks.....the reason they waited until then is because they want to wait until they can pick up the baby's heartbeat on the doppler. I'm planning on calling on Monday to make the appointment but my guess is I won't go in until late October.

The first appointment is so exciting. I look forward to hearing about all of your experiences!

I had an appt on Monday with the nurse, basically to confirm it and do a few other things.

My first true appt. is when I'm 6 weeks.

I have my first appointment tomorrow to go over family history and general stuff.  I won't even see the doctor.

I think they'll schedule my first u/s & doctor visit somewhere around 8 weeks like they did when I was pregnant with DD.

I've gotten my pregnancy confirmed by bloodwork. I have to go back Friday for another blood draw to check my progesterone (mine was low...on a supplement now). I'm going to ask then when the first u/s will be since I'm under the care of my RE.

I go in today at 2:30 for a confirmation and paperwork.  This is a new doctor so I really want to her and the nurses and feel out the vibe!

I go in on Oct 8th, around 6 weeks for a nurse visit. I'm not sure what happens after that!

My OB won't see you until after 7 weeks, so I'm not going until Oct. 18th. Even though they've already put me back on the Heparin, BOO!

My sister and I both have a genetic blood clotting disorder and she had to be on Heparin all through her pregnancy and I am anxious about possibly getting on it as well. I will have to meet with our other doctor after I meet with my OB the first time.

Did you all have an OBGYN before, or how did you know who to call?  I called the place that I figure I will want to give birth at, due to location, and they had 3 available, and only one female, so I just went with her.  I suppose if I'm not comfortable with her, I'll check out the other two.....but, just curious how you all handled that? 

I have already been going to my OB since I was 19 and she is WONDERFUL I love her so much...she has delivered my two neices, my best friend's two sons, and my cousin's three children we all really like her. She is very attentive and patient.

Well ladies the appt. went well. They drew blood and I go back Friday for more blood drawn and then we go from there.

I had a beta appointment today and will go back for one more next week then I get to go in for the u/s at 6 wks

I won't lie, it isn't fun, but once it's over it's a non-issue! I have a protein deficency in my blood, originally they thought it was a clotting disorder because I've been hospitalized with a clot; apparently it's fine most of the time, unless I'm pregnant. They didn't diagnose me until 33-34 weeks last time so I was only on it for a few weeks, but now they know so they called in my script as soon as I called and made my confirmation appt.
