A while back I posted that I was having trouble with a CPS worker and decided to go with a private agency. Today I got an e-mail from the original CPS worker about my old application.

 

Ms. S,

Your application is being closed due to information discovered regarding your past foster child information. 

I attached an Agency Selection Form should you decide to select another agency.

WHAT? I have never had a foster child. I am just old enough to even be licensed. I was a foster child. Is he saying that that would have disqualified me?

 Now I'm going to have to call the agency I actually like and ask if there is going to be a problem. I never hid that I had been in foster care. I am so upset right now.

I don't even know what to say. Just a vent.

It sounds like a clerical error. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I would contact the CPS worker though and ask WTF.

I sent him a message asking for clarification and a supervisor's contact information. I thought about just leaving it alone since we are already going with a different agency, but I am concerned that now it will show in a new background check that we were closed. Hopefully he replies tomorrow.

This is my thought exactly. I wouldn't want it to creep back up some how..You deserve and explanation!!

Somehow someone just messed something up.  Just be diligent and make sure it all gets straightened out so you won't be hassled later on like you stated.  GL, let us know what happens.  How frustrating.
