So before I became a mommy I thought I was going to have a bunch of memory boxes, tons of photo albums, and everything else saved somehow. I look back on it and other than TONS of pictures on FB and some shutterfly books I haven't saved much of anything. I have his hospital bracelet (which the hospital put MY name on ugh makes sense but still), his hair from first haircut (finally caved and got it done- will post pics tomorrow), etc.... but they are in random places on the house. I had a ornament kit for his first handprint last Christmas... but he wouldn't open his fingers for it and we never did the foot. Ugh I feel like I have failed in this part of being a mommy! I am going to gather stuff and at least put it in a shoebox until I can put it in a shadow box of some sort..... anyone else in the same boat? What are you going to do with these items? What items are you saving?
I am in the same boat... I got this https://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/for_thehome/homedecor/frames/shopbyoccasion/new_baby/PRD~988085/Malden+Our+Little+Princess+Frame.jsp for her hat and card from the hospital bassinet but other than that I really have nothing. I did a hand print ornament last Christmas but it's very smeared and didn't turn out well. To be honest, I haven't really written much in her baby book. It makes me sad that I haven't kept track of milestone moments as accurately as I wanted to. I'm going to make a vow to be better at it from now on!! I can go back on Facebook to see where I wrote about sitting, rolling, crawling, etc so that's good.
