Baby A went breech around 28 weeks and Baby B followed his sister a couple of weeks later. I have a c-section scheduled for 37w5d, but I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to make it another 3 weeks and 1 day. I'm already measuring 41 weeks and both babies have been in the 80-85th percentile at our last few growth scans. I'm worried about going into labor on my own with a breech baby A. My first labor started when my water broke and it scares me to think about the cord coming out, if that were to happen again.
I know that we'll have to hot-foot it to the hospital if I go into labor, but now that I'm getting used to the idea of having a c-section, I'd much rather have the more relaxed, planned, experience, than the panicky, rush to the hospital one.
So, did you make it to your scheduled c-section date? If not, what was your experience like?

Here we go again...IVF 3 is underway!
Schedule 9/15 and went on 9/13. My Dr. was hesitant to even schedule a day for me b/c she thought I would go! I made it really far though. Just hang in there mama, it'll be worth it!
After dealing with PTL beginning around 22 weeks, I did end up making it to my scheduled c/s at 36w2d.
I'm glad we made it to the scheduled c/s because it was calm and easy to plan for.
I did not make it to the scheduled c-section day, and I DID go into labor with a breech baby A. Like you said, the concern was the cord coming out first.
It wasn't too crazy though.
My water broke and I started having contractions right away. DH called the hospital immediately so they were ready by the time we got there 1/2 hour later. It was all pretty relaxed until they checked me and realized that I was 5 cm dilated already (unusual for it to happen so fast I think). Then they scrambled around little bit. Everything turned out fine though. The hardest part was having to deal with contractions knowing I wasn't going to have a vaginal birth.
They were born 2 hours after baby A's water broke, at 36 weeks. C-section was set for 38 weeks, but I had gone into preterm labor already at 32 weeks.
Looking back I'm glad. I think I would have been a nervous wreck in the days leading up to the c-section if I'd known when it was coming.
We're only 15 minutes from the hospital, but the main issue is waiting for my parents to get to our house to be with DS. We have a neighbor that we can call on if I go into labor in the middle of the night. He'll come over and just wait for my parents to arrive so we can leave ASAP. But if I go into labor at some other random time of the day, it could take an hour or so for my parents to arrive.
Baby is A was frank breech a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday the tech just said "butt down," I'm not sure where her feet or cord are. That makes me feel better that your situation went well.
I remember you from the IF board! Congrats on your twins!
The OB picked up high BP at my 31 week appointment and the twins were delivered at 33w2d...so no, I didn't make it to my 38 week scheduled c-section. You're doing great, though! Keep up the good work!!
Yes, I was scheduled for 38w2d and made it with no problems aside from the fact that my blood pressure started to really go up at the end. No preeclampsia diagnosis or other symptoms though.
We had two breech babies as well. You'll probably have to take them for hip ultrasounds at around 6 weeks old as a screening for hip dysplasia, but it's not a big deal.
Good luck! They'll take good care of you whether you go into labour or not.
My boys were transverse and breech!
