Is your MOD having a baby shower?

our local MOD is throwing a baby shower for all the moms in the nicu in our local hospitals in Tampa. it is for Nov prematurity awarness month. im so excited about this! so many of us don't get to have showers since our baies come early. so we are baking stuff and decorating a room near the nicu.  we have gifts for the moms as well. i bought bibs, hats and Seseme t-shirts for the babies. a friend also gave me some larger items to give away. is your local MOD doing this? have you been asked to help?

How do you even get involved in your local MOD? We've moved to a new city since the boys were born, and in our old city the MOD didn't seem to be involved in the hospital at all.

Ours isn't, what a wonderful idea though.  That would be so much fun!

that is a great ideal!  we are having a vigil downtown. we went last year and it was so nice.  they announce all the survivors and angels name and show there picture on the jumbo tron that is on the center square downton Cincinnati. 

I can't wait!!!

ours isn't but they are doing a Day of Gratitude today.  Somehow our family was selected as the family representative to be there with the MOD for a presentation with the MOD.  MOD is bring good & giveaways for the nurses. Should be a special time.

we got the email about it bc we did the walk last year. they are also having a family picnic for those who did the walk this month. if you want to get involved call your local MOD office. this is the first year they are doing it. we barely have anyone to help out so it won't be huge...but it's a start!
