I feel so bad for my daughter just turned 1 shes so constipated. A few weeks ago we transitioned to milk and now shes on 3 bottles of milk and no formula. I had no idea milk, eggs, and yogurt constipates babies! And of course thats what i was giving her thinking it would help. She cried the other day because it hurt so bad and there was a tiny bit of blood in her stool. What can i do to naturally loosen things up? Ive been giving her 6oz of water with 2oz of apple juice hoping that would help.
Poor thing!
Re: constipation help please!
Try cutting back on the dairy a little, and offer "p" fruits - pears, peaches, plums/prunes, pumpkin. If the apple juice isn't helping, try prune or pear juice. Make sure she's getting plenty of water.

Straight up prune juice... Pumpkin is good this time of year... Start there...
Otherwise, if it's really bad consistently, I'd start getting the Ped involved, a ped gastro if you have to...
My son was around 6.5 months old (EBF) and got constipated on a few occasions after we started giving him solids. We tried all the "P" fruits and even tried Miralax without any luck. Finally, we gave him 1 teaspoon of flax seed oil from Trader Joe's. Worked like a charm, let me tell you!!! And we haven't had any problems since. It's also beneficial as a good source of omega-3 fatty acid.
