Pig! I'm naughty, so this is a ham & cheese sandwich with a homemade word bubble pick. Sushi grass keeps the sandwich dry. Carrots and cucumbers with a mushroom container of dip (DD said she's always afraid it will spill, so she never eats the dip - I won't be sending it any more). There's also a pig-shaped silicone container of grapes. This was a rather small lunch and DD finished it, which I guess is good.
Apples! This was the first day of an apple unit in DD's class. The ham & cheese sandwich has half of a gummy worm (uneaten, as I suspected). The slice of caramel apple and the checkered apple were both brushed with lemon water to keep from browning. Grapes, a strawberry and some apple-flavored rice cakes round out the rest.
Rooster! I love this little guy! Grapes surround a PB/honey rooster sandwich. In the chick container are a few Raisinettes. In the bottom half of this container (available at Target and BRU in pink and blue, by the way) are strawberries, carrots, raisins and a mini rice cakes. I love relabeling the raisin boxes.
Penguins! DD's school is having some sort of hidden penguin contest right now (I don't get it either). This sandwich is made from a Munchkin sandwich cutter I found at the grocery store. On the left is the ham & cheese sandwich, grapes, snap peas (they're so much prettier halved!), a penguin container of Goldfish and two yogurt pretzels. On the left are apple chunks, grapes and a strawberry.
It was a four-day school week here last week, but this was a weekend police-themed lunch. The red and blue gem picks are from Party City. Simple but fun!
PIP your cute lunches! The participation is great and I'm sure others of you are making cute lunches at home. My child actually thinks it's normal for Mommy to take a picture of her lunch before she eats it. Have a great week!
Re: Cute lunch check-in
Great lunches!
Here is one from last week. On the bottom there were grapes, carrots, a piece of cheese, and dried peaches. On the top there was raspberries, cereal, peas, and homemade bread with two kind of jam. In the little jar is cottage cheese. Most of this was eaten. Not all the grapes and he forgot the cottage cheese.
I'll snap a pic in the AM of tomorrow's lunch!

I love these two beautiful children!
Great job, ladies!
Fredalina, we also have th Hawaiian-themed picks. Did you laminate the masks? The ones I received were disappointingly just paper (I've never had that happen before!) and I'm not really sure what to do with them.
Here is today's lunch. A turkey and cheese sandwich with Mr. Potato Head parts and carrot hair, plus a rainbow of produce and bunny grahams.

Here is my apple lunch. PB&J sandwich with "apple" spelled out of a fruit bar in the top tier. Bottom tier has some gold fish crackers, and an apple DD picked from the orchard. I chopped up the apple and used a few of the slices to make a little apple shape and a stem pick.
I got to use my new cutter to make four little PB&J sandwiches. So cute! Butterfly shaped fruit bar on each piece. Top tier has a cute, some tomoates with party hats, and I cannot remember what is in the piggy.
Pb&J with a little piece of bear baran, and a silcone cup of raisins on the bottom tier. Top tier has a "striped" sliced apple, some graham crackers, and a few more tomaties with little "fancy lady" hats!
Green day at school! PB&J with a piece of froggy baran. tope tier has "green" spelled out of cucumber (which I do not recommend!) and some kiwi trees. The trees our some of our favorites!
Love those, Madringal! We have the tree one, too, bit I always forget to save some broccoli from dinner - love the kiwi instead!
