Mine seems to want to transition... I'm worried that she still really needs the sleep and that it's more the outside influences (daycare distractions) that are pushing her to 1 nap.
Any thoughts?

Re: Anyone down to 1 nap already?
If he wakes up early, he usually still wants a morning nap though

BFP #6 01/11/15 EDD 09/22/15 M/C 03/09/15
BFP #2 March 2011, Baby Girl born November 2011!!!
This would be seriously nice. DS sleeps from 7-6 and naps from about 12:30 - 3:30, so what you have above would pretty much have my 2 kids on the exact same schedule

We're getting there, but not by my influence and I really think she needs to still be taking 2.
Last week she kept falling asleep two times a day while nursing, and I'd leave her for about 30mins before I'd try to break the latch and lay her down. Most times she'd fight me when I went to break the latch, and the times she'd let me I'd go to lay her down and she instantly wake up screaming and wouldn't sleep anymore.
Then starting this weekend she would still fall asleep nursing, this time only one of the times though but she would break the latch herself and then I was able to lay her down on the couch for a decent nap.
Trying to get her to take naps the past 2 weeks have been hell!
Does your DS consistently take 3 hour naps? Any secrets? My 2 yearold takes at least an hour and a half nap each day, but it can extend to 3 hours. His nap length is pretty unpredictable excepting that it is never shorter than 1.5 hours.

His naps are slightly shorter at daycare than they are at home, but they are pretty consistently > 2.5 hours. We're not doing anything special, really. At about age 2, naps were pretty difficult and we had some no nap days where he would just refuse, but we mustered through. A lot of people told us he was ready to be done with naps and I'm glad we didn't give up because he really does need that nap and naps better now than he ever has.

Well, DD has been taking her morning nap later and later and often refuses the afternoon nap
I kind of doubt dropping a nap would help with STTN. In fact, my big worry with dropping a nap is that it will have the opposite effect.

It has in our house. Of course, we've been dealing with illness, teeth, and other stuff, but I think I'm going to blame in on the 1/2 hour nap he takes at day care. The other day, he didn't take one at all. Fun for us!
I haven't had too much trouble with nap refusal. He often asks to take his nap when he is ready (at about 11AM give or take 15 minutes). I refuse to give up on naptime/rest time. My grandmother had mandated rest time in her home when my mom was growing up. My mom always remarks on how smart she was to protect her sanity like that. Once kids got older they could read quietly during that time.

this is really close to my LO's sched. he'll be 10 months tomorrow. his first nap is now 1-1.5 hours and his second is the same. he goes to bed between 5:45 and 6:30 and is up anywhere from 6:30 to 7:15. he was taking half hour naps for a few months but finally seems to be lengthening. (WOO HOO!). i can't even imagine him going to one nap now, but every kid is different.
