Whats your LO's favorite toy?

Now that our LOs are getting to the age where they are more observant and able to to do things like hold things and kick things. I'm looking for more ideas of developmental toys for my LO. He loves to kick, so I did buy him the kicking piano which he loves. Recommend your LO's favorite toy!

She doesn't really play with anything yet. The only thing she has ever grabbed was her O-ball. I usually put a few things in front of her when I have her in the high chair while I cook though.

His burp cloth! Lol! Seriously, my DS loves it. I think he likes the texture of it.

As for real toys, he loves this Bright Starts elephant teether. It crunches when he grabs it. I think he likes the feel & sound of it:

He also loves this blue O'ball. It has beads in it that make noise when you shake it. It is easy for him to grab and hold:

Do you know what brand the kicking piano is? Does it hang on the crib? I think my DS would like something like that to kick.

the piano is fisher price kick and play piano gym.. I also have an activity bar from tiny love that I put on his RNP...He loves to kick at the dangling toys. (he does not sleep in rnp.) I'll check out Oball since all 3 of you mentioned it..

I never even heard of the o balls you speak of..I'm intrigued!

Right now, dd loves her Lamaze Flutterbug. That's about  the only toy we pulled out so far for her. She actually fell asleep propped up in her boppy while playing with it...it was so cute!

I have been thinking about trying DS in his high chair so I don't have to drag in the bouncy seat when I'm cooking. How old was your DD before you started putting her in it? Do they need to be able to sit unassisted? I have a Graco DuoDiner that will recline. DS has good head control, but he can't sit flat on the floor unassisted yet. He also doesn't have enough trunk strength to sit in his Bumbo seat for long.

unaveragejane - I've been puttingher in her highchair for a loooong time. My high chair has the shoulder straps so I use those and had it at a recline position. For the last 2 or 3 weeks I've had the high chair sitting up with her strapped in and she's had no problem. The straps help hold her forward and when she starts getting fussy I just take her out.

DD really loves her play mat.  She likes to swat at and kick the toys hanging above her because some of them make noise.

I bought Renee a little cow toy for her exercise mat. She just found it today! She pulls it and then the cow vibrates back up to the top. She absolutely loves it!

DS is just discovering his Taggie mirror. Unfortunately, it is flexible plastic so it gets wavy like a fun house mirror. Yesterday he caught sight of himself in it all distorted and completely flipped out. Poor little guy! We gave it another try today angled more toward the ceiling and he enjoyed reaching for the colorful tags around it.

We get all crazy with Sophie the Giraffe.  Mostly because DD can grab her easily and chew on it.  We have one of those kick pianos but I don't think she understands that a kick=music yet.  

She also has this tiny stuffed toy that is a baby in a pink dress.  It is soft and squishy and to be honest, pretty ugly.  It is hilarious to watch my little pink DD squeeze the little pink baby.  Then she usually tries to chew its face off.  So at least she is mastering the zombie developmental benchmarks.

His plush Finding Nemo! It was in the room at the hospital when he was born and we bring it everywhere with us. He can grab it now and he brings it up to his mouth so he can lick it lol Guess he likes sushi lmao

Emelia started loving her Sophie this week!  She also likes to look at those crinkly bright colored dangly hoo has that we have a bunch of.  We have one in particular that is a butterfly, and she loves looking at it.  She also likes to grab onto teething rings and soft rattles!

We have an Oball green football and blue rattle ball that DS loves.  He can grab them, and likes to chew on the end of the football.  We hang the blue rattle ball off the links on his floor playmat a lot, and he loves swatting at it and kicking it when he's playing on the playmat.
