Egg banking for multiple cycles? Has anyone done this?

Hello!
I am trying to find out more information about egg banking. I have had two past IVF's that resulted in chemical pregnancies, and numerous failed IUIs. My Dr. suggested egg banking for multiple cycles so that we have a good batch of eggs to work with (he uses vitrification). My previous IVFs resulted in only 6 eggs each time (3 embryos cycle #1, and 2 cycle #2). So I guess I am a poor responder.
Has anyone had experience and/or success with this approach?
Me:38 - TTC for 3+years - Multiple failed IUIs (w/clomid, femara,injectibles - all BFNs) IVF #1 - Jan 2012, CP -IVF#2 March 2012, CP - Went back to IUIs all summer. Multi-Cycle Egg banking for FET. Egg retrieval #1 October, 2 frosties. Retrieval#2 January 2013. 6 eggs banked - waiting to be fertilized in March, FET March! Zero eggs survived thaw process - FET Cancelled. New RE - Now banking Embryos for PGS - July ER- 3 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized, 1 genetically normal embryo! FET - Feb. 2014, BFP - Mar. 2014, EDD 11/6/14 It's a GIRL!

Are you discussing Mini-IVF? I have heard of banking for Mini-IVF, but not for regular IVF. Usually with Mini-IVF they work with your natural cycle, instead of the high stims approach (as usually results are little different if you are DOR)

I don't think it will be mini-ivf, but I think I am (DOR) I have a pretty low FSH, but also a low AMH. I am going in tomorrow for bloodwork and I'll get my meds protocol. I didn't want to wait it out another cycle to meet w/my RE and ask more questions. He had said that this would be our next step - and so when I started my period after my last IUI I called the nurse and said let's just move forward with the next thing. I will let you all know what the protocol is when I get it.
