2ww timeline of implantation

What Happens After an Embryo Transfer?
Once you complete your embryo transfer, you will have approximately 1? weeks to wait before a pregnancy can be detected. The following tables outline an approximate timeline for what happens during a successful pregnancy after a 3-day transfer (3dt) and a 5-day transfer (5dt).

3-Day Transfer

One
The embryo continues to grow and develop, turning from a 6-8 cell embryo into a morula

Two
The cells of the morula continue to divide, developing into a blastocyst

Three
The blastocyst begins to hatch out of its shell

Four
The blastocyst continues to hatch out of its shell and begins to attach itself to the uterus

Five
The blastocyst attaches deeper into the uterine lining, beginning implantation

Six
Implantation continues

Seven
Implantation is complete, cells that will eventually become the placenta and fetus have begun to develop

Eight
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) starts to enter the blood stream

Nine
Fetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted

Ten
Fetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted  

Eleven
Levels of hCG are now high enough to detect a pregnancy



5-Day Transfer

One

    Thanks for posting this! I was just trying to plan what dpt I was going to start testing on after out ET, lol. I saw some posts on here that said they got bfps at 5dpt (I think it was a 5dt), and I thought that was kind of early!

    5 day transfer 10/23/12, 3 frosties
    Beta #1 11/5/12: 453, Beta #2 11/7/12: 1,013, DD born 7/19/13

    In one word: YES!!

    I feel like I am pregnant, I've been having quite a few symptoms. But now that I'm actually going to find out i'm starting to second guess everything and wonder if I'm just crazy... I just want tomorrow to be here so I can finally know one way or the other!

    that is cool!  I am always trying to imagine what is going on in there.  I wish that we could have little cameras so that we can know if it worked and what is happening.  That would be so cool!

    I just want you to know you have just contributed at length to my neurosis, and I have marked this thread so that I may return to it on a daily basis once we do the transfer...  Wink
    Us: 39(me)/41(he). TTC since April '11. DOR/MFI. March '12: surgery to remove fibroids, cysts, and endometriosis.
    IVF #1: 9/13/12. ER: 9/25. 3R, 2M, 1F. ET: 9/28 (1-6B). Beta: moved from 10/11 to 10/10: BFN.
    IVF #2: 11/12 cycle postponed due to Sandy and then cancelled due to elevated E2.
    IVF #2.1 cancelled due to cyst.
    IVF #2.2: 2/2/13. Converted to IUI. BFN
    IVF #3.0: 3/2014. BCP & Microdose Lupron.  Cycle cancelled due to poor response.
    IVF #4.0: 2/2015. EPP @ new RE. ER: 3/8. 3R, 3M, 1F. ET: 3/11 (1-8cell). 3/23 Beta: 16.9. 3/25 Beta: 71.6. 3/27 Beta: 300. 3/29 Beta: 800 3/31 Beta: 1816. 4/1 Beta: 4342. m/c at 6w2d. Goodbye little one. I loved you already.

    I'm 9dp5dt... and I am not going to POAS. I'm pissed that my beta seems to be later than everyone else's normally is.  I'm going NUTS!  6 more days to wait!!!

    April 2011 - HSG - Normal/Clear but tilted uterus
    May 2011 - Start Metformin
    June 2011 - SIS - Arcuate but normal uterus
    July 2011 - 100mg Clomid Cycle cancelled - No response
    August-September 2011 - Break for oral & eye surgery

    9/11/12 - ER (34 retrieved, 24 mature, 18 fertilized)
    9/16/12 - ET - 5dt of 2 perfect blasts and 7 frosties!!!
    Beta #1 - 10/1/12 - BFP!!! 2000+
    Beta #2 - 10/3/12 - 4881
    Beta #3 - 10/5/12 - 8570
    First u/s - 10/9/12 - 6w0d - 2 sacs!!!
    Second u/s - 10/16/12 - 7w0d - 2 babies with 2 strong hbs!!
    First OB appt - 11/5/12 - "Baby A" looks great, good hb and movement, measuring 10w0d
    "Baby B" stopped growing at 8 weeks :0(
    12/5/12 - Baby looks great at 14w2d - 165bpm heartrate!
    January 4th, 2013 - Lost our Baby Girl, Faith at 18w3d
    Emergency D&C to clear infection
