Babies on the Brain

Happy Monday!

How was your weekend?

Mine was tiring, but awesome! My scheduled long run on Saturday was 9 miles, but I ran 9.58 in 1:59:40 because the track was a loop. The runner's high wasn't as awesome as it was after I ran 7 miles, so I was a little disappointed (I might be an addict lol). I did the scheduled 60 mins of cross training yesterday even though I didn't want to (5 mins on stair climber, 55 mins on stationary bike), so I was sort of proud of myself for that. Yesterday was 2 weeks until the half, and I started making my packing list this morning. I'm so very excited about it. :D

Re: Happy Monday!

  • Busy! Saturday was the circus and fair. Yesterday was a surprise lunch for our friends who just married. That was at 2 and they left around 11! To top it off DH told me at 1015 am that two of the people coming we're vegetarian. I had to throw stuff together last min. I went over the menu and grocery list with him earlier in the week. Then the vegetarians didn't show! I am dragging today.

  • Morning! My weekend was quiet. Mainly tried not to feel sick and homework. We had a fun night out on Friday to celebrate our friends finalizing their dd's adoption.

  • Morning.

My weekend was alright. I groomed a few dogs on Saturday then went out for sushi. Sunday we caught up on laundry (since I messed up my knee last weekend and didn't get any of it done). Tonight we are going to see my grandma, she isn't doing well so I want to spend as much time with her as possible.  Hope everyone has a good Monday!

I envy your running will power, Bio!

My weekend was pretty great. Saturday I went to huge picnic and to the cutest/best wedding I have ever been to. Yesterday we fall cleaned the office and converted it to a part guest room as my SO's dad is coming to stay with us for a little while-- which I hope a little while does not turn into a long while...

My running willpower goes out the window if I don't have a race to prepare for. I didn't have anything scheduled between my 10K in April this year and the half in 2 weeks. I ran a total of ~9 miles in May and only 19 in June (including an impromptu 5k). We started training for the half in mid-July. I think this is going to get expensive with race fees lol.

I ran a 5k in mid July.  Since then I've ran maybe 3 miles.  I wanted to say I ran a 5k and I did.  I'd do another, but it's getting cold here and I don't want to run outside.  I don't have my gym membership anymore or I would probably have stuck with it better.

  • Overall my weekend was good. My mom had a family gathering at her house so all my siblings were over. I wanted to harm my brother, but managed to stay away from him so I didn't have to listen to his insensitive comments anymore. It was awesome seeing my sister and her family!

  • Happy Monday to you!

My weekend was way way to quick! DH and I went to a bon fire/ early halloween party Saturday and for the first time almost ever, just laid around on Sunday, it was AWESOME! lol we are usually so busy that it felt so good to just lay on the couch and watch netflix all day :)

Already looking forward to this weekend, our only plan is to go to the cider mill and get pumpkins but I look forward to more lazy fall mornings and fires.

  • Happy Monday! Weekends go by way too fast. We had a really laid back weekend, just hung out around the house, DH worked on putting down new molding in the guest bedroom. Also, we decided to start therapy training for our dog, which I'm really excited for Smile Classes start October 6th and last for eight weeks, then we have to pass the evaluation. If all goes well I'll be able to take Mika (the dog) to hospitals, rehab centers, retirement homes, etc, and help make some random people's day.
  • So busy but good. A friends house for dinner on Friday. My DS and their DD are best friends so it is a blast to see them together. Saturday did some grocery shopping/cleaned the house for a party I was having on Sunday, then an art show. Sunday I had a 1154 Lill party at my house. Then we went to the park and a movie night.
