Rash around the mouth

DS has had a slight rash/breakout around his mouth for a week or so now. It doesn't get too bad, but it doesn't seem to be going away o it's own. Wtf?? His mouth is often wet from eating, drinking, teething, ect..so it's hard to keep dry. Anyone experiencing this?

DD gets a rash right under her mouth when she drools or when we don't wipe her mouth quickly after eating or drinking.

DD is drooling (teething) this week and has that rash from time to time.  (I also wonder if certain foods contribute.)  Thankfully hers clears up just as quickly as it appears.

DD has this right now x a few days..at first it looked like the smallest pimple  now more like a rash.  SHe does drool a lot too.  Also she likes to play with keys, so I thought she was having a reaction to the metal, so i have taken them away from her.  I realy dont think its  big deal, I know she has fairly sensitive skin to begin with, but every little rash shes ever had is usually gone with in 4-5 days and its ever severe.

We've had the same thing for months.  The PA at the doctors office said to put Aquafor on it. Helped a bit, but I'm starting to believe it is caused by her teething

Is your LO irritable at all?  Getting up at night cranky?  Reason I ask is DS2 had this 'rash' around the mouth I thought was from drooling.  Ends up it was hand, foot and mouth disease---- and it sucks!!!  He had a throat full of sores I didn't realize until we went to the dr.  But he wasn't drinking/eating as much. 

He had the rash for about 2-3 days before he got it on his hands for another 1-2 days.

My DD had that as well and then I noticed it on her hands and feet, ending up being Hand, Foot & Mouth, it sucked for a few days and looked bad, but eventually it all just went away...
