I have one son so far, Nathaniel Archimedes, and I'm having a rough time with names for twins this time around. Nathan was nameless for three days and I don't want to be in that boat again. My background is Lithuanian and Dads is Scottish.
These are the girl names we have picked out: Caroline Devlin, and Cailtin Blair (maybe Kaitlyn?)
These are the boy names: Seamus Lochlan, and Alaric D (D middle name to figure out later, as Dad has a D middle name too)
What do you all think of the names?
Are they alright with Nathan?
What boy/girl combo goes best?
Any unique or cultural "D" middle names to offer up?
TIA!
Re: Twins names
Love them all.
What about Drummand/Drummond?
Dunn?
Durrell?
This for me too.
I hate Kaitlyn with a K...I think it does not grow up well whereas I think Caitlin works better on an adult. Other than that I like all your names!
I'm not so good with Lithunian names, but Scottish D names...Dougal, Duncan, Donal/Donald/Domnall?
Seamus is an all time favorite of mine.
I think Caitlin and Seamus are an adorable twin pair!
I vote for the Caitlin spelling. I wouldn't be worried about them sharing first initial names, because Caitlin and Caroline aren't too matchy-matchy to me.
How about Donovan as a D name?
Hmm very good points. Caroline may be NN Caro but I know MH is not a fan of NNs and probably won't shorten their names. I however will shorten them all I'm sure. I can hear it now with Nathan and Caitlin "Nate, Cait, Naaaate, Caaaait" ha it is matchy but it doesn't bother me so much. I also love the MN Dmitri, have to take this one to MH asap see what he thinks.
Everyone has given lots of great suggestions, so many to ponder over. Thank you
I don't like Caroline & Caitlin together. Caroline & Margaret, Caitlin & Heather, Caroline & Bridget.
I like the boy names. Lachlan was going to be my first suggestion. Alaric Douglas.
