What happened to my ankles??

They seem to have disappeared!

 

I was expecting some additional swelling at the hospital, but it got 10x worse the day after leaving the hospital.  One foot is worse than the other.  Dr said to elevate and wait.  

 

Anybody else deal with this and how long did it last?

    My legs and hands were swollen bad both times.  I think it went away just about completely around two weeks pp.

    My ankle swelling started about 5 days after having DD and continued for about 2 weeks.

    Yes- 2 weeks! isn't it wild? You think you will be LESS swollen after having the baby but not with a c-section! I actually weighed more for a while after having my first, how sad. but after 2 weeks it all came out one night with a million pee breaks to the bathroom. hang in there!

    Same thing happened to me! I had zero swelling in the hospital since I was drinking water like crazy but when I got home they started swelling and would sometimes take turns being more swelled (I would go to bed and one would be swollen, i would wake up and the other one would be swollen).  I stopped taking my pain meds because I read that they can sometimes cause swelling.  A few days later the swelling was gone.

    My feet were swollen for several, several days and it did get much worse (which I didn't think was possible b/c I had Pre-E).  I think I saw a marked improvement about 7 days after.

    My feet and ankles were swollen worse after my c section than when I was pregnant!  My Dr. said it could take up to 6 weeks for the swelling and tightness to go down, but they were back to normal after about 2 weeks pp.

    My swelling was ABSURD in the days after leaving the hospital. Probably the worst from 4 days pp to 8-10 days pp. I thought it would've happened right away in the hospital, but it was after I got home.

    This is call third spacing and it's completely normal it lasted for about 2 weeks!
