No Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers?

I found the book at a children's consignment shop for $.99, so I bought it today. Has anybody read this one yet, and have an experience to share?

My son is 14 months old, and still won't sleep through the night, and he's going to be a big brother soon, SO I'm hoping this book is our lifesaver!

  • I've read it, and it's good. Nothing ground-breaking, IMO. She talks a lot about having a bedtime routine and making sure you aren't doing any crazy activities the last hour or two before bed.

It's not unusual to not STTN at 14 months (unfortunately!). Are you still nursing him? That can be a factor in waking up a lot, too.

  • I read it. The only thing I really remember about it was that it's normal for toddlers and preschoolers not to STTN. After reading the book, we did make an attempt to have a better bedtime routine, but ultimately I figured that DD1 would learn to STTN when she was ready. (She did when she turned 5.) DD2 is 26 months and doesn't STTN yet either. I just night weaned her, but she prefers to cuddle with us in bed, so she's probably waking up just to come sleep with me.
