DD's new favorite things (xp June board)

Over the last few days, DD discovered that if she pushes off with her feet while laying in my lap, she can eventually get to a point where her head hangs off of my lap/arm. This is apparently one of her new favorite positions - she LOVES hanging her head upside-down and looking around/chit-chatting in that position. The other day she even fell asleep like that! Now she's constantly pushing off and won't lie calmly in my lap anymore.

She also discovered that she can 'stand' and 'jump' a few days ago, so now she insists on constantly being put in a standing position. My arms are about ready to fall off!

Anyone else's LO develop and funny/interesting new preferences lately?

DD has preferred standing over sitting for a few weeks now.  It's adorable seeing her body wiggling around getting used to balancing. 

A few days ago, she started shrieking when she's excited.  It's also the way she wakes up in the morning... even at 6am.  Ugg.  But it's so stinking cute!

Lucas has wanted to stand not sit for months now!! He's just found he can get up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth, he can already scoot on his belly but I'm not ready for crawling!

LOL same here!  it's so funny but man it's rough when it's early!

DD started "talking" which is really yelling. She sits in her exersaucer and yells. We talk back and she smiles and yells again making funny noises. If we don't talk back she get louder! She talks to us, the dogs, her toys...not even making words yet and we already can't get her to be quiet lol. It is very cute, but she gets so loud I get headaches sometimes!

She's also a stander. If I'm holding her in a sitting position she'll squirm and yell until I hold her in a standing position. Then she's quiet....for a bit. :P
