So, I'm sure we've all seen the more common Rose, Dahlia, Calla, Fleur, Flora, Iris, Heather, Poppy, Petunia, Violet, Lily...
How about the less popular ones?
WDYT of Larkspur, Vinca, Lilac, Linnea, Magnolia (although I guess this one is becoming more popular now?), Saffron, Zinnia?
Re: Flower Names
Larkspur- no, but I do like Lark
Vinca- not sure what kind of flower this even is...
Lilac- no
Linnea- negra
Magnolia- like, with nn Maggie
Saffron- no
Zinnia- okay
I like Azalea just to throw another one out there. Also Calla.

Rowan and Linden are trees, but I love them too. Rowan for a boy, Linden for either.
ETA: The other uncommon flower names are nms.
I agree on Lark. I also like Calla.
Vinca was actually the name that led me to this list. I had never seen it before and wondered what it meant.
I knew a girl in hs named Linnea, but I didn't know it was a plant until today.
I think Magnolia and Azalea sound ridiculous as names, but I couldn't tell you why. These two, Lilac and Saffron sound fictional for some reason (like they would be ok on characters in books, but not in real life).
The rest of them I could take or leave.
I like Magnolia a lot, a guilty pleasure.
Saffron makes me think of Firefly character.
It's hard for me to invision a child named Lilac.
Zinnia is acceptally exotic but I wouldn't know it's a flower.
If you want people to get the connection then you need to realize that a lot of people aren't very familiar with botany. If you don't care then it doesn't matter I guess.
I'm going to sound like a total hypocrite. I'm not sure how history decided which flower names to become legit mainstream names, but I think there's a reason why they were able to make it through and I happen to like them all much more than any of the less known ones you suggested.
A few I didn't see on your list: Ivy, Lavendar (I guess it's real, I think of the girl in Matilda) or Posy.
I love flower names, including many of the ones you picked, but I have to be careful because my last name means flower in another language. My sweetie is pushing hard for Violet anyway but we'll see.
Magnolia, Linnea, Azalea, Lilac (Lil or Lila for short!), Lily..all great. I could go on but won't.

On the list, I like Magnolia and Zinnia but wouldn't use them myself.
Does Laurel count as a plant name? I like that one too.
I have one of the common flower names you listed. While I don't think I would use a flower name myself, I have an appreciation for them.
Of the less common ones you listed I like Linnea (I also didn't realize it was a plant), Magnolia (a friend's DD), Saffron (makes me think of Absolutely Fabulous), and Zinnia. Lilac is my favorite flower, but I don't know about it as a name. Larkspur and Vinca sound harsh to me.
Other nice less common one:
Camellia
Hyacinth
Yay for Saffy!
I LOVE flower names, and thing names for that matter. Olive, Briar, and Laken(Lake), are my favorites right now. I really like Magnolia nn Maggie, but I think it might be getting too popular, although I don't personally know any Magnolia's.
My grandmother's name is Lilace (lie-liss), a play off Lilac. I think Lilac might be too harsh of an ending, but I still love the name. I also like Azalea nn Zaley but DH hates it!

I like flower names as well, and I am especially a fan of the underused variations.
On your list I really like Larkspur (hadn't thought of that!), Zinnia and Lilac
Some of my favorites right now are
Amaryllis (Ami- pronounced ahh-me)
Azalea
Dahlia (Dolly)
Briar
Fern (maybe as a middle name)
Juniper
Lavender
Peony (although my DH says kids will call her "pee-on-me")
