Postpartum Depression

Lonely

I've been pretty low the past few days. I don't feel right. I feel like something is wrong. I've already been diagnosed with depression. I'm not on any medication but I am going to therapy but my next appointment isn't until October. I go to group therapy twice a week but it doesn't help much. I just feel so lonely. I don't know what to do with myself. I'm just posting because my husband is working and I have no one to talk to.

  • Hi. Is there a moms group in you area? Try looking on meetup.com for a group that looks interesting to you. Does your library have any free story time or something like that you could go to? Just figure out some way to get out of the house and interact with other people! Will that help?

  • I second the suggestion about moms groups. Also, check out Mops. It's a Christian organization, but if that's not your jam, there are Mops groups that aren't quite so religious.
Mops literally saved my life after my daughter was born.
The Mops International website has a place where you can search for groups in your area.
Little Gym or Gymboree are also good places to meet other parents. Good luck!
