Elmo related.

DS sleeps with Ewnie Bewt and Ehmo every night. He plays with them every morning when he wakes up, which gives me an extra 15 minutes of much needed rest. Except the days where he drags Elmos rock hard eyes along the crib slats over and over and over. Does anyone know of an Elmo toy with soft eyes so the crib will stay pretty and we won't wake up to a headache? Seriously, you should see this poor muppets  pupils.

  • We have a beanie baby size elmo who is soft all over. It is a second hand toy, but maybe you could look for that? Your description made me lol, btw.

  • I have a big haul of stuff I want to order from Target. I will seriously cry if they don't ship to my stupid little town (looking at you Toys R Us)

Thank you!  They have boxes of plushes at Walmart but Elmo is always sold out.  I am glad he like Bert more.

  • It drives me crazy that so many plush toys have hard eyes, I'd love to see more stuffed animals with eyes sewn with thread rather than plastic sewn on.

I have no idea where you can get one so I'm not help to you though, sorry.

  • We have Teach Me Elmo.  He has soft eyes plus stuff to do - button, zipper, shoelace, etc.

  • We have the "Many Kisses" Elmo (Or something like that) that has soft eyes, but the downside is that Elmo talks and gives kisses any time DD presses its hand or makes Elmo "blow kisses". So in the middle of the night, when she rolls over on Elmo, you hear a random "Elmo loves you! Hee hee!" lol

Yes I completely agree.  Out of the 15 stuffed animal my 1 year old has, I think 1 has sewn eyes.

Did you try looking on Amazon?

  • I think Amazon hates me. Our mailing address is a PO box but our shipping address is to our house (middle of nowhere in Canada) so it's tough getting stuff shipped out.

I hate that damned red muppet.  And my MIL for giving DS the Rockin Elmo.  He may have a tragic drum and microphone incident.

I am very thankful that our noisy Elmo is the baby sniffles one. It is actually pretty cute minus the scratched up eyeballs banging against the crib.

    Baby Elmo has a cold.

    Ah ah ah chooo!

    Ish.

    Baby Elmo love you.

I just got DD a bean bag type Elmo from TRU. The eyes are soft. Stupid thing was eight bucks but she LOVES it.

Our Bert was 15 at Sesame Street Live. But it was Bert. DH couldn't leave him behind. Now he's at Walmart for 8.

  • Now you know good and well if you switch out that poor child's Elmo she will have a fit.  (I don't know your child but I am speaking from experience.)  If I change something it's "aw heck no!  That is NOT my Emmo!"

We bought the "My First Elmo" at TJ Maxx or Marshalls or something for $10.

She used to call him Ehmo. Now he's 'La la la la'. Apparently he is only known now by his theme song. Poor red thing.

It's funny you say this because my DD used to call Elmo "Tee tee" before she could say "elmo." Then it finally graduated to Elmo. But these days, Elmo is  "Elmo World"
