Re: Pregnant (& TTC) after a Preemie Check in 9/19/12

  • I'm having a rough morning. DS didn't sleep much the second half of last night so we've been up a lot. My husband is gone all of DS's waking hours yesterday and today, and I'm crabby. I've also had a dull achy, throbbing feeling in my uterus and it's freaking me out. It's whether I'm resting (overnight) or active. Doesn't matter. I'm at the point this pregnancy when I started having complications last pregnancy (23 weeks - IC & PTL) and I'm basically an emotional mess right now. Anxiously waiting for my doctor's office to open this morning... Any advice on the throbbing welcome.

  • EDD is 5/21.  Counting down to my ultrasound in 13 days!

  • I'm home! I'm exhausted from being out and about for appointments and the few extras my ob allows, but after 35 days inpatient, it's so good to be out!

I'm checking my bp twice a day and seeing my ob twice a week. Otherwise things are good. I'm just amazed the previa resolved! If I could do a happy dance, I would.

I don't really have any updates, and I'm perfectly happy with that. :)

    Jen, how was your vacation?

    No news is good news!

Our vacation was nice. The kids got to see/meet their great grandparents. We also had a preemie playdate with friends in St. Louis. Lots of sightseeing and visiting with family. The only negative was that C got sick and we had to take her to an urgent care type place. Both kids are well now, but DH and I have come down with the cold.

  • I know I haven't really been that great about updates, but I'm very happy that I'm two days out from 34 weeks and we seem to be doing well! -knocks on wood- My doctor thinks I have a good chance of going to term at least so I'm super excited about that. Even if I'm getting to the uncomfortable point in the pregnancy.

Thanks. DS is doing better and we're slowly catching up on sleep. My OB speculated that the throbbing must be extra pressure on the blood vessels down there, but the important thing is that she checked my cervix and it is not changing at all, still long, closed, and cerclage holding well. <Sigh of relief>
