Seafood question

Last night I ate red snapper at a work dinner (really good!) and this morning I feel so nauseous. Is this coincidence or is red snapper one of the fish we are supposed to avoid? I tried to google it but all i came up with was avoid tuna, swordfish, tile fish. Anyone know?

Re: Seafood question

  • Red snapper is on the OK list, so you should be fine unless it wasn't cooked properly.  I hope you feel better!

  • Most fish you are suppose to avoid are high in mercury. Red Snapper can be higher in mercury so I wouldn't suggest eating it all the time. If you are feeling sick it is either morning sickness, something not sitting well from last night or you are getting a flu/cold.

  • Mercury doesn't make you nauseas. Tho it's prob not a coincidence, the fish or something you ate just didn't sit well.
