Leap Pad 2 VS Innotab 2

Does anyone have experience with these? I have a 3 year old little girl, and she's already learning to read. I want to get her one for fun and also learning. Anyone prefer one over the other? Thanks!

We got the Inotab2, but haven;t used it yet because it's an Xmas gift.

  • Here is a pretty good review/comparison article:

I can't speak for the "2" version of either tablet, but DS got the original Innotab for Christmas last year and we love it. I actually like that it's bigger than the Leap Pad, even though the screen is not. Just seems easier to hold. It's also cheaper in general - the unit itself, games, accessories, etc. which is why we bought it. It was also easier to find (as in, I had zero trouble finding one and I got it 40% off). DS is also already doing some reading and I think his Innotab deserves a lot of the credit for that! I'm jealous that the new one has a camera. I was going to get him the VTech camera, but now I'm considering just upgrading his Innotab, though I don't think I'm going to be able to get that past DH. LOL

  • We have the leap pad, and DS LOVES it! He got it last Christmas, and still plays it. It is easy to use, and I can plus it into my computer and download add-ons or track his developmental progress.
