zantac to prilosec

My lo broke out in a rash- were not sure if its from the Zantac or no so, to be on the safe side, the doctor is switching him to Prilosec.  So, now I'm wondering if anyone has any info/experience with Prilosec?  He is on 2.5ml once a day.  Did your lo take it once or twice a day? Any other info I should know?

    One of my boys is on Prilosec, the other on Prevacid. We give 2.6mL of Prilosec 2x aday. The dose has to be frequently increased with weight gain, we started at 1.3mL in June. It works really well for him but did nothing for my other son.
