Suggestions PLEASE!!!!!!!

So to make a long story short....

DH asked me last night if I wanted to go away with him for a couple of days (2-3 tops).  Our 3 year anniversay is coming and we like to do something each year (nothing extragent or fancy) just some nice time together. HOWEVER, we DON'T want to leave our DS.  (We went away 2 weeks ago for a wedding out of town and we missed him terribly)

So if we do decied to go away we would like to bring DS.  Can any of you ladies suggest something that would be nice for all 3 of us to do together.  Any suggestions are welcome we don't mind taking a plane, or driving and we were looking to go around the beginning of October!

Thanks ladies ;)

  • Where do you live? Do you have a place that has cabin's anywhere or a nice little beach/lake?

  • Whatever you decide to do, it will not be relaxing. We rented a house in cape cod with an outdoor pool and we ended up staying inside most days. Id recommend a hotel with an indoor pool that is close to pumpkin/apple picking/hayrides as that would make for great fall fun/photos. Vermont and NYC where i am from are beautiful in autumn. NYC has Central Park and FAO Schwartz, which is always fun.

  • Go to the white mountains New hampshire! You can stay at the beautiful Mt. Washington Resort drive through the white mountains and see the beautiful fall foliage. Bring her to story land, and take the cog railroad up to the top of Mt Washington!  Also take beatiful easy hikes to amazing waterfalls. You can also eat awesome food and go shopping in North Conway. Perfect!

Why did you stay inside, why would you think anyone else would?? I've been outside almost every day since lo was born for hours.
Op, what do you enjoy doing? For me a small bed and breakfast with a place to go hiking and enjoy the leaves would be ideal.

Because it was 90 degrees and sunny and my son couldn't wear sunscreen and cried if we were out too long. It was not an ideal vacay for a baby that young.

Hmm to each their own I guess, it sounds like a great vacation to me with a baby. It's easy to make shade to keep lo in, so no need for sun screen. The idea of being in NYC with a child doesn't sound like fun to me.
