What did you think?
I really like the premise, but I wish they spent more time showing us what happened in the early days/months/years after the power went out. I feel like that is a very compelling story that they just totally skipped over. I guess they'll show it in flashbacks.
The fighting was a bit much for me. Bella's dad swordfighting 20 guys at once? Ok. Whatever.
And why did the asthmatic son have to show up with his crossbow? His dad was totally fine going off with those guys. That was annoying.
It is really neat seeing how they imagined the world to look after 15 years of no power though. The end was interesting too. But all in all, I don't know if it will make it. It reminds me a lot of Flashback, which I think had a much better pilot and Elizabeth Mitchell, but only lasted maybe 1 or 2 seasons.
Re: Did anyone watch Revolution last night?
Well, I thought the best review I saw was something like "Well-imagined set and universe populated by flat characters."
Pilots are always a mess. We give practically everything 4 episodes to get their shiit in gear. Unless it has a laugh track. Then it gets 2.

Yup and I'm already done with it. There were just too many WTF/WTH moments for me to be able to enjoy the show.
Ok I get that the power went out but then they stated that batteries no longer work. Ummm... batteries do not require electricity to function, to make more batteries yes you need plants that would require electricity but to use ones that are already manufactured, no.
ETA: And why would solar energy panels and wind turbines now not be able to work/generate electricity?
Remember Viva Las Vegas?
I FVVCKKIN LOVED THAT PILOT.
I still laugh.
It barely survived the airing of its pilot episode. I think if the networks could've, they would have pulled it at the first commercial break.

I'll give anything that is partially set in Chicago the benefit of the doubt.
With that said I haven't watched the entire episode yet...but I will.
I started watching The River last year. What happened to that show? Is it coming back?
Andplusalso it's been 15 years with no electricity and yet the daughter still has nice clean clothes, shoes etc. and the blonde doctor lady clearly still has shampoo/conditioner and a curling iron and there's plenty of make-up to go around?!
I like the premise, and I'm actually still looking for a replacement show for Lost and was hoping this was it. But I'm not sure it's strong enough, some of the acting is lame and it might be a little TOO unbelievable. I'm sure a lot of the questions about the missing 15 years will be answered in flashbacks though, they're already showing more flashbacks in the previews.
I'll watch it for a bit and see how it does. I'm a sucker for this genre of TV shows.
It's on Hulu. It was actually on Hulu yesterday during the day before it actually premiered. They called it a "whole episode preview." Which is really just a fancy way to say "pilot."
I just watched it. I have lots of questions.
I'll give it a couple more episodes.
Yeah, I probably will too. I just hope it doesn't get all swashbuckley.
It's on Hulu.com...for free....right meow.
Also, I wasn't expecting it to be as barbaric as it was.
