Carrier with good back support?

I was given an older style Baby Bjorn by a friend, but it's just not going to work.  I wore it around the house for a few minutes and my back already hurts.  I was really hoping to go on a short hike this weekend.  Can anyone recommend a carrier with good back support that won't break the bank?  My son is 14 lbs.

If cost is a factor, I'd look around for a used carrier. If you like the idea of the Bjorn but don't find it comfortable, look for a Beco or Ergo.

Thanks, I'll look into those brands.  I hear there is a great store that sells used baby things in my town, so I'll look there first.

I would echo the suggestion to check out used carriers.  If you want buckles the ergo (beware of fakes though - ask for proof of purchase!) and beco are the easiest to find new.  Infantino makes buckle carriers now - the Support or the Balance - that are "ergonomic" (as in have a wide seat for baby) that are lower priced and would be just fine for a 3 month old.  The Action Baby Carrier is my favorite bargain carrier and would fit well.  You might also consider a mei tai...Infantino has the Sash which is pretty decent; Kozy and Freehand are brands that you can often find on sale or used.
