Middle of the night pain relief

My pedi told me once to only give her Advil on a full tummy since it might cause some upset.  For this reason, I save the Advil for daytime hours and if it's the middle of the night and she needs it, I break out the Tylenol.  This does not work for our molar situation right now, as I have been up since 3:30 due to the Tylenol that I gave her 12:30 not helping.  Advil has always helped her more for teething.  If she is having a rough time right before bed I will give it to her then because she just had dinner not that long ago.  If you have given Advil (or Motrin) in the middle of the night did this cause any issues?  I'm hoping that this was advice meant for when she was just old enough to take it and now that she is much older, she can handle it.

I give my LO Motrin/Advil in the middle of the night sometimes.

It's never been a problem.

Me too, no problems.

I've given Advil in the middle of the night, and DD has never had a problem.
