TB test safe?

Does anyone know if its okay to get a TB test while prego? im 28 weeks now and am wanting to open an in home child care and need to get a TB test done. Just wondering if anyone knows if it is safe or not. ive read different things online. Ill ask my doc when i see her next but thought it would be a good idea to ask around....

My doc said I have to skip that one. They can write you a waiver and you will just have to get it done some time after you deliver.

Mine gave me one at my first appt at 10 weeks.

It's required at my OB.

 

My last one was over a year ago, so I had one done at my 20 week apt.

If you are talking about a PPD, then yes, it is perfectly safe (the one where they inject it under the skin on your arm, and then have you come back in 48 hours to have it checked).  I had it done about a month ago or so at work, and I asked before they injected it.

This was just asked by a mama on my local and several other bumpie mamas got a TB while pregnant.

My MW said it was OK for me to get a PPD.

I work for a hospital and have needed my yearly TB test during both of my pregnancies and my OB said they were safe but if you had concerns could get a blood draw. First pregnancy I did a blood draw because I needed other blood work done at the time. This time did the inject-wait 2 days and check for reacation test.
