VBAC with GD any hope?

I was 5cm dialated at 38 weeks with my first daughter and let my dr. break my water progressed beautifully to 10cm got to push for 30 min and my nurse talked to the dr. and they decided she would not come, so I had a cs.She was 8 lbs 10oz.      At my first appointment with this baby I asked if I could try for a vbac and my dr. agreed to let me try said that she may have had her head cocked to the side. I'm 34 weeks now and my GD is worse with this baby(I think she will be bigger) so is there any hope? anyone have a story similar to this one?

Did your new OB get your op reports?  I would look at your hospital reports and see exactly why you had a csection.  Pushing for only 30 minutes seems like a short time!  I pushed for three hours before the csection and my new OB told me based on the reports it was a completely unnecessary csection anyhow.  (cue sobbing)  Mine was 8lb6oz.  I don't think an 8 lber is an immediate csection baby.  I know a lady who is five foot tall who had a 13 lb baby vaginally!!   You probably have a LOT of hope of having a natural birth.  I would talk more with your OB about it.

If I go into labor on my own, I will attempt to VBAC. I also have GD but my doctor has not done a growth scan to get a size check so it is kind of scary not knowing what size we might be dealing with. I think if GD and size is the primary factor to decide that, my doctor would be getting more info, so you may be just fine!

I hope so.  I am only 18+ weeks, but I had this conversation with my OB on Thursday. She asked what my plans were and I said I would like to try for a VBAC.  DD was breech, born at 38.5 weeks because I went into labor and I had GD.  DD was 5 lb 12 oz.  I had no choice with her.  I would love to try for a VBAC, but I have a lot against me.  I have expected that I will probably have GD with this baby which means I won't be allowed to go past my due date.  I'm just trying to go with the flow.
