Our last name is Buchanan.
I don't mind a mouthful of a name, because I fall in the camp of "nobody ever says the middle name anyway".
All names are family names.
If you can think of a better middle name for Rosemary, please share. It's our new favorite name, but we're stumped for a good mn.

I like Rosemary best too! For a mn, could you use your maiden name or your own mn or your mom's name, etc.?
I am ok with surnames as mns b/c if she does get married to someone with that same ln, she can move her own maiden name to the mn spot. Lots of women do that.
Other ideas for mn for Rosemary:
Rosemary Georgia Buchanan
Rosemary Colette Buchanan
Rosemary Lizette Buchanan
Rosemary Louise Buchanan
Rosemary Lucille Buchanan
Rosemary Adele Buchanan
Rosemary Nadine Buchanan
Rosemary Therese Buchanan

It is pronounced bew-cannon.
Like I said above, Bailey is a family name, that's why we would use it. I would never use my maiden name since I don't have a relationship with my father. I was happy to get rid of that name when I got married.
My mom and I both have the same mn, and she has no clue how that happened because she hates her mn, so I don't want to continue that. Her first name is Brooke. I'm meh on that as a mn. My grandmother is Kim, Rosemary Kim would be okay, I suppose. Other family names are Dolly and Bertha, so you can see why I'm sticking with what I have above.
I actually love Rosemary Elise, but DH hates that.
And I totally adore the nn Elle, I think it works well for both a child and adult. So it will definitely stay. Betsy and most other nicknames for Elizabeth are too cutesy, IMO.
Thanks for your input!
To play devil's advocate, most people I know (me included) have taken their maiden name as their middle name when they get married. If marrying a Bailey ever happened, she could be Elizabeth Buchanan Bailey.
