Next time around, I will not be considered high risk. The doctors believe that this loss was just a crazy fluke and there is no reason to believe it would happen again, so no extra monitoring.
I had assumed, and I think they told me, that I would be.
Is that normal?

That said, even after having preeclampsia with DD, I was not considered high risk at first during my pregnancy with Mason. It wasn't until they discovered the SCH that I was referred to a MFM.
Has your doctor completely ruled out extra monitoring or even a MFM referral? I hope you can come up with a plan that will make PGAL a little less stressful, if that's possible.

After an early m/c, an unexplained stillbirth at 39 weeks and being 33 years old, I will be considered high risk. I will see my regular OB more often, ever 3 weeks instead of 4, and after 24 weeks I will be co-treated by MFM and will have the choice of induction or c-section at 37 weeks if I want (I can't event think that far ahead now).
I think it's very helpful to have a plan in place and have good communication with your Dr. You need to feel supported by them.
The doctors believe losing Patricia was also a crazy fluke, but my doctor planned to consider me high risk just for peace of mind. Unfortunately with insurance companies it's not always so easy, but "thankfully" I have enough other diagnoses (pcos, bicornuate ute, history of GD) that they will cover the extra monitoring.
If you want extra monitoring, I see no reason not to ask for it again.
