choking

Does anyone elses LO choke on the bottle? I have tries so many things and even been to a feeding specialist who says its reflux but he will choke and cough frantically....I feel so bad for him and I am worried he is aspirating it.

Ds does this sometimes when nursing and I have a really heavy letdown. I don't know too much about bottles, but have you tried a slower flow nipple?

L used to do this really bad and it would freak me out. Once her reflux was under control it stopped. Have you tried a slower flow nipple?

Yep. He is still on the slowest flow there is.

Have you thought about rice in his bottle? It makes it thicker so it goes down a bit slower. My pedi GI recommended it. 

You could try it once to see if there is any difference. Since he is on nutramigen he should have a dairy/soy free one. We use Earth's Best organic whole grain rice. And we put in 1/2 a tsp per oz.
