PTL Contractions

On Friday, I was admitted to L&D for contractions that were 1 minute apart, they decrease and eventually disappeared, I was discharged yesterday. I am in my 31st week on strict bed rest. Is this normal not to have pain with contractions so close together? Even though my short cervix is now 5mm, I was not dilated.

    My contractions never hurt, they were just uncomfortable at the worst.

    I'm glad they were able to stop your contractions. I hope bed rest helps you make it full term.

    Mine also didn't hurt, just felt an uncomfortable pressure, I was dialated though to 2. Did you get magnesium sulfate to stop your labor? Did you get steroid shots for the babies lungs? Good luck.

    Yes to both, they also gave me indomethacin. If you did not have pain, how did you know to go to the hospital.

    I just didn't feel right and was also having some bleeding.

    My contractions felt like BH but were timeable and wouldn't go away with rest/water. I honestly thought they would laugh at me when I went in, but obviously they didn't since I was 3cm dilated at 28w1d. If anything make you think you're in PTL don't hesitate to go get checked. IMO its better to get checked and be wrong a million times then not get checked and be right once.
