On our way to IUI #1

AF showed this morning so we have now been through 24 cycles of TTC. Last week my new RE found what he believes to be the problem. He performed a post coital test and come to find out my cervical fluid is too acidic and killing the sperm once they come in contact with it. Other than that, my DH and I have been through so several tests, blood work, etc. all with normal results. As weird as it may sound, I'm happy we found something wrong and can move forward with IUI this cycle. I will go in on CD14 for an ultrasound to see when I will be ovulating and go from there. I am hoping this is the best way to bypass my cervix (since that is where the problem lies) and get those guys where they need to go!

9/26/10 stopped BCP and started TTC.
9/2011 referred to RE. All blood work normal and DH's SA=normal results
11/2011 HSG=both tubes clear
One natural (monitored) cycle of Clomid, 50mg 2/2012= BFN
Getting ready for first IUI, 3/2012 received orders to Japan! (postponed IUI)
5/2012 Moved to Japan, fought Tricare for months over referral (no fertility treatment on our military base) for Japanese RE out in town!
8/2012 Started seeing new RE
9/2012, post coital test= hostile cervical fluid, (finally) moving on with first IUI!
9/29/2012 IUI #1+trigger= BFN
10/27/2012 IUI #2+100mg Clomid CD5-9+trigger= BFN
11/28/2012 IUI #3+100mg Clomid CD5-9+trigger= BFN
12/28/2012 IUI#4+100mg Clomid CD5-9+trigger=BFN
2/1/2013 IUI#5+injectables+trigger=BFN
3/2013 IUI#6+injectables+trigger=???

    DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)
    5 hysteroscopies/2 surgical
    3 Inject IUIs = 2 m/c's and 1 BFN
    IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
    IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!

    It is always a relief to know what is wrong, then you can do something to fix it.  Hope this IUI is the ticket for you!

    Good luck with your IUI. Are you checking with OPKs before day 14? My re has me use OPKs starting day 10/11 and if no positive I monitor day 14 with ultrasound. If positive I go in for ultrasound that day and blood work. This cycle I has a positive cd13 and did IUI day 14. If you monitor on day 14 you could miss it.

    OP- are you taking any meds at all?  On my IUI + injects cycle, I had monitoring on CD 8 and the IUI on CD 11.  You might want to ask about earlier monitoring so you don't miss it!  I totally understand how it feels to understand what is wrong and be able to come up with a plan to fix it.  Good luck!
