Need some IFV advice:meds, exercise and headaches

Hello all,

Started stims on Thursday.    I am taking Gonal-F and Menopur.  I was instructed to inject the pen into the Menopur to mix everything together and take one dose.  Wondering if anyone else had that instruction? 

Also, I've got a sinus headache.  I know I can't take aspirin or ibuprofen, but could I take some Sudafed?

Lastly, were you given exercise restrictions? My doctor/nurse didn't mention anything, but a friend of mine did. I was trying to avoid calling the on call line, but I may have to since I don't want a three day headache.

I was allowed to take Tylenol. In fact, I get such bad headaches that they even let me take Tylenol 3. Good luck! Hope your headache goes away.

Tylenol only but I didn't have a cold so didn't ask about sudafed. As for the exercise, if you expect to get a lot of follies, you will start to get uncomfortable and don't want to twist stuff in there. You also just may not feel like moving. I would limit to walking just to not shake stuff up. Wishing you luck:-)

Ps: I had low estrogen headaches and laid on ice packs which seemed to help. That is what I do with any headache since then.

My ear nose and throat doctor said that sinus tissue is really very sensitive to hormonal changes which leads to a lot of sinus headaches. I was being mis diagnosed with sinus infections. I was told no on the Sudafed, and no on Advil and no on Afrin which are the only things that help. Peppermint, really string peppermint seems to help. I sniff peppermint oil, eat altoids e t c....

As for the exercise they ssaid no impact exercise. Running, tennis, bike riding etc... Anything that doesn't include impact was fine.

Can't help with the first question... I was told no sudafed, and also no bouncing once I started stims. Walking was okay.

@McIrish, time will tell re: follies.  My AFC was 9 on Thursday, and I've always heard that was OK, not great.  Never tried the icepack thing.  I'm a wuss about cold, but if it gets too bad, I'll try anything. I'm about to take an extra iron pill as well.

@Scuba, I've got some peppermint extract, so if they say no Sudafed, I will sniff away 

@Gregermis, thanks.  I am supposed to be in a parade tomorrow, so trying to figure out if it will work.

 I'm home now, so I will call soon and see what the doctor says.
