Thanks girls... I'm doing well. Honestly, with all the ailments and declining health in recent months, I'm kind of relieved that it's over and she's in a better place.
Yesterday was rough, but Charlie made me smile. He kind of understood that we were saying goodbye to Kitty. And then looked at me and said, repeatedly, "We need a new pet!" Even said it again this morning! HA
After 20-some years of cat ownership, we're taking a break for a while.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my cat decades ago and I still think of her to this day.
This but I lost my precious kitty about 10 years ago and now can't have anymore furry pets because DH and DD are alergic. And so sorry for your loss she was a beauty.

So sorry for your loss. I know what an important part of the family pets become, especially when there are children involved.
We also have a cat named Chloe, who is almost 14. My kids love her so and I am not looking forward to the say we have to say good-bye to her.
