Swaddlebee Simplex trouble...

Hi all- haven't posted on here before but I'm new to cloth diapering and I need help. My 2 1/2 year old is 75% potty trained- pretty good all day and I put him in a disposable diaper at nap and nighttime. He's dry after nap and usually wakes up with pee in the morning. So I decided to buy a large cloth diaper (Swaddlebee Simplex- up to 35 lbs which he's within) for nighttime because it's so padded and seems like it would do the trick. He woke up at 1 am soaked up his tummy and we had to wash him up and change his bedding and such. Does this mean the diaper is too small or should I add another insert up the front????

I love my Swaddlebees Simplex, but it would never hold up overnight.  I would definitly try adding another insert (or two)!

This exactly. I love my Swaddlebees, they certainly last longer for daytime use, but would never work overnight.

Also because that diaper is cotton, you need to wash it 5-6 times before it will reach full absorbency.

You may want to try a Babee Greens fitted with a cover over it for night... it would be easier to add more absorbancy to, but after reading reviews I wonder if that would even be necessary!

Thanks all. I ordered a Kawaii Good Night Heavy Wetter because I'd heard great things about those so I think I'll stick with disposables until it arrives! I also have several pockets- would those work overnight?
