Adoption

Well, I got a response from American Airlines

About as generic as you can get.

Dear Dr. L:

Thank you for contacting American Airlines Customer Relations. We are pleased to respond to your inquiry.

Re: Well, I got a response from American Airlines

  • Ugh.  Amazing how they can use up 5 whole paragraphs to say nothing.  Not impressed with their response.

  • Loading the player...
  • Time to get media involved.  I hear it's easier than ever, with a well-placed tweet or two.
  • Ooh, I'm going to blog about it. They always look through those too. I got a response from my credit union when I wrote them an open letter.

    ::off to type::

  • I just tweeted this info.

  • And they tweeted back within a few minutes.

Go fill up their twitter feed y'all!

  • Now they're asking for travel plans to be sent to them to "have a look at it"

Maybe enough bad press will give them the nudge they need.

  • I tweeted/FB posted and one of my friends already retweeted.  Seems like it would be fairly easy for them to request proof of adoption and then waive the car seat fee.  I mean, really- how many ppl are going to travel with an empty car seat just for the heck of it??  Come on, American Airlines!

  • Way to go, Ladies!

I'd do it, too, but I'm fairly twitter illiterate.  I have an account, but use it mostly to follow major new events as they are happening (I started it during the Egyptian revolution, when it was the only way to get info).  I have barely ever posted anything, and have no idea how to get someone to see it.  If someone can tell me what to write and how best to tag/post it, I'll do it, too.

  • Tag AmericanAir

I wrote something like "apparently americanair charges..." to get the tag in
