I love the name Sawyer! I know people use the name on boys and girls, but it's on my list for a boy. I personally like unisex names/ "boy" names on girls and surnames as first names. I am one of the few people on this board that do though.
It's a boys name...the little boy I know with is always correct people on the pronunciation of his name as (Saw-your) instead of (Soy-er), so that has turned me off on the name completely. It's not a girls name.

One of my husband's employees named her daughter Sawyer. I also have a friend with a son named Sawyer. I don't think its terrible on a girl, but I prefer it on a boy.
I have a girlfriend who is pregnant right now with a girl and her name will be Sawyer. We thought about using it for our boy name but changed our minds. I really like the name... not sure for a girl though.

I think of it as a dog's name first.
On a human, I would think boy.
Love it as a boy name.
Hate it as a girl name.
