Have you heard of using femara/letrozole during a FET? UPDATED

My reproductive immunologist wants to do this - he said because it would be taken concurrently with Lupron I wouldn't produce an egg... but it sounds weird to me. I can't remember why he wants to use it, I think something about the lining. I did find a little bit about it on a google search, so it has been done. I didn't mention this yet to the RE. 

Thoughts? 

Update: My RE said no to this. I don't know if I feel relieved (I don't want it messing up my hormones) or not. I'm going to post on the Yahoo group as soon as I'm approved to join. 

Dx: High FSH, stage IV endo, homozygous C677T MTHFR and PAI-1
Early loss 10/08
Lap 1/09
IVF #1 "natural IVF" - 1 egg retrieved, missed m/c
Tried several mini-stim cycles with no response
Switched clinics - dx'd as carrier for Fragile X
IVF #2 MDL protocol Jan/Feb converted to IUI, BFN
IVF #2 take 2: Antagonist, one embie, BFN
IVF #3: Antagonist, no fertilization
One last ditch effort at OE IVF (antagonist with Clomid) cancelled
DE cycle #1 Jan/Feb 2011, BFP, ectopic
DE cycle #2 June/July 2011 - BFP
10/28/11 Baby girl lost at 17 weeks due to pre-term labor. We love and miss you.
DE cycle #3 June/July 2012 - BFP, twins, both heartbeats stopped, D&C
2 frosties but don't know what's next
FET Dec 2012: BFP! Praying this one sticks for the long haul!

    I've heard that he (specifically) does this but it was not suggested for me. Have you searched the yahoo group?

    No I have never heard of that - seems counterintuitive to taking lupron.

    Our little miracle baby is a boy. :)

    Baby Boy Owen and Baby Girl Avery were born too early on Feb. 13, 2011 due to a pedunculated fibroid, incompetent cervix and suspected placental abruption.

    IF and Immunology, though some people cycle TI with an RI and no RE. 

    I would email him. I looked on the forum and didn't find anything on the search... Would love to know what his thinking is. God luck!

    I was on femara this month. It is an anti breast cancer med that works opposite in pre menopausal women. It works like clomid but doesn't thin the uterus lining. (so says my dr.) my side effects were almost same as clomid. I hope it is just the thing i needed.
    TTC since 5/11 both uf us are >35
    Clomid 4cycles pregnancy ended in MC 6/12
    IUI #1,2, 3 and 4 ALL BFN.
    Moved on to IVF in Jan. 2013 Beta #1 288, Beta #2 529 Heartbeat on 2/8! Miscarriage at 15 weeks. 4 months to be complete. Every test known to science. No known reason for MC. FET Oct 2013 BFP on 11/2. Beta# 1 910.
