HELP!

Hi there, I'm on our local daycare board and we are facing the problem that after school began schedules changed and now we have too many kids on our hands due to building capacity.  We are in the middle of a building expansion project but it has another 2-3 months to go....How would you approach your families about this to remedy the problem so that the State doesn't get to us first? We are in the process of starting an expansion to the building. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many of our families are sibblings so it is tough.

Re: HELP!

  • There's not going to be an easy way... Honestly, I'd be livid--both about being kicked out AND about my child being in an over-capacity building. The schedule changes shouldn't have been approved in the first place if it would put you over capacity. I would approach the ones who made the schedule changes first since that is the source of your problem. Be prepared for some pretty serious fallout.
